When it comes to leather look I think that there is only one way to wear it and that is to go 'all out.' Put on as much leather as you can because layering will always look great.
Leather trousers have always been a look that I've loved after seeing them in magazines and on celebrities and it's been a style that I wanted to try for myself. I thought I could just buy some trousers and get my 'rock chick' on - if only it was that simple! After trying on trouser after trouser, having breakdowns in changing rooms and wanting to slice my legs off, I gave up. I probably tried on 10 pairs of trousers on different shopping trips and in different stores, none of them getting past my knees. I reluctantly gave up my search and my dreams of being the rock chick, I'd always wanted to be, slipped away. Until Christmas morning when my personal shopper aka mum brought me two pairs of leather trousers, before I could even give a reaction she told me "Don't look at the size, just try them" And that is my only advice when it comes to shopping for leather trousers, go a size or two up it makes ALL the difference! Don't try and force yourself into a certain size as who's going to see the label anyway? Or just cut it out as it's always about how you feel in what you are wearing and not the pressure of feeling a certain size.
My trousers are from River Island and they are amazing, they are stretchy on the leg without making them look like leggings and they are really comfortable and light (sometimes I forget I have them on.)
Trousers and Coat are synthetic.
Anywho, enough from me. MEP x
